About
Inspirasy

Yayasan Inspirasy is a pioneering nonprofit organization in Indonesia dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with developmental challenges, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other neurodivergent conditions. Recognizing that neurodivergent individuals require comprehensive, lifelong support systems that extend far beyond traditional disability services

Vision

A future where every neurodivergent individual and those with cerebral palsy—regardless of specific diagnosis—has access to inclusive learning, meaningful work opportunities, and supportive communities throughout their entire life journey, while organizations are equipped and committed to embracing their unique contributions.

Mission

To create an inclusive society where neurodivergent individuals and those with cerebral palsy are fully valued and empowered to reach their highest potential, while simultaneously building corporate readiness and community support systems through innovative programs, advocacy, and comprehensive inclusion initiatives

Our Leadership

Inspirasy’s leadership is united by more than professional achievement—it is connected by a shared commitment to creating a more inclusive future.

All members of our leadership team have personal experience supporting family members with special needs, giving them a deep understanding of the lifelong challenges and aspirations shared by many families across Indonesia. Combined with distinguished careers in public service, academia, law, and organizational leadership, they bring both compassion and strategic expertise to guide the foundation.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

RR Nurul Setyawati, M.H.
Executive Chair

RR Nurul Setyawati is a professional and corporate leader whose career has been built on strategic thinking, governance, and organizational development. Alongside her professional journey, she is also a mother raising children with autism—a role that profoundly reshaped her perspective on inclusion, advocacy, and social impact.

Rather than viewing these two worlds separately, Nurul transformed her legal expertise and leadership experience into a mission to create systemic change. She believes that meaningful inclusion requires not only compassion, but also strong institutions, sound governance, and cross-sector collaboration.

As Executive Chair of Inspirasy, she leads the foundation’s strategic vision, advocacy initiatives, institutional partnerships, and organizational development. Her leadership bridges professional excellence with lived experience, enabling Inspirasy to grow as a trusted organization advancing lifelong inclusion and opportunities for individuals with special needs.

Kris Mayana Simbolon, S.E.
Vice Executive Chair

Kris Mayana’s journey reflects the extraordinary dedication of a mother who chose to place her family at the center of her life’s work. As a mother raising a child with cerebral palsy, she made the difficult decision to step away from a promising professional career to fully support her child’s growth, development, and daily needs.

Through years of hands-on caregiving, navigating education, healthcare, therapy, and community life, Kris gained a profound understanding of the realities faced by families of children with special needs. Her experience has become the foundation of her commitment to ensuring that no family has to navigate this journey alone.

As Vice Chairperson, Kris oversees Inspirasy’s programs, community engagement, and day-to-day operations. Her compassionate leadership ensures that every initiative remains grounded in the real needs, aspirations, and lived experiences of the families the foundation serves.

Why Inclusive Support for Children with Special Needs Matters

At Yayasan Inspirasy, we believe that true change begins with understanding. Our team brings together those who have walked this path themselves alongside dedicated professionals, creating programs that are both grounded in research and deeply rooted in the realities families face every day.

The Challenge

We’ve learned that challenges for neurodivergent individuals don’t exist in isolation—when they struggle finding employment, they also face legal vulnerabilities and limited access to essential resources. That’s why our approach addresses these interconnected needs together, creating a foundation where each element strengthens the others so they can truly rebuild their lives.

The Potential

While we’re committed to measuring our impact and maintaining transparency in everything we do, our focus remains on sustainable change. We’re building partnerships and developing initiatives that will continue serving families and preparing neurodivergent individuals long into the future, not just for the duration of a grant cycle.

The Bigger Picture

What gives us hope is seeing how this model resonates beyond our immediate community. The principles we’ve developed here in Indonesia have the potential to support families facing similar challenges across the region and beyond—because at its heart, this work is about recognizing the inherent dignity and potential in every family unique individual.

Turning Inclusion into Action

At Yayasan Inspirasy, we see what others might miss—the untapped potential in every individual, the strength that comes from thinking differently, and the profound impact of creating spaces where everyone can thrive. Every person deserves the chance to contribute their unique gifts to the world. We walk alongside individuals with developmental differences and their families, creating pathways to meaningful participation in their communities.

Connecting Neurodivergent Talent with the Right Workplaces

We believe that neurodivergent minds bring extraordinary perspectives to workplaces. Our program carefully connects individuals with the environments where their specific strengths can flourish and their specific needs can be addressed, while helping employers discover the opportunity to create direct impact to social well-being.

Tools, Technology, and Community Support — Shared with Love

Every child’s journey toward independence begins with the right support. We mobilize our community—businesses, organizations, and caring individuals—to provide essential therapeutic equipment and developmental tools. From specialized therapy devices and mobility aids like wheelchairs to adaptive technology and learning materials, we ensure that no child’s potential is limited by lack of access to the tools they need to grow and thrive.

Legal Protection Without Taking Away Autonomy

Decision making for neurodivergent individuals can be challenging as they enter adulthood without the support of their families. We help parents and caring donors establish trusted support system to neurodivergent individuals in every aspect of their personal and social responsibilities. Our program offers limited guardianship, including quality care, daily assistance, and financial planning, to ensure a safe and comfortable future for your loved ones.

When We Open Doors for Everyone

Giving everyone a chance doesn’t just change their lives—it makes our workplaces better too. Companies that welcome all kinds of people aren’t just doing good; they’re discovering amazing talents that were hiding in plain sight.

Amazing Skills We Often Miss

All around us are people with incredible abilities that haven’t been noticed yet. Those who think differently often have special skills in spotting patterns, focusing deeply, paying attention to details, and solving problems in unique ways. While many companies struggle to find the right employees, these dedicated individuals offer loyalty, hard work, and fresh ideas that can transform how we work.

Building a Better Tomorrow

The world is changing, and smart companies are already adapting. When giving everyone opportunities becomes the norm, companies that act now will be known as pioneers of change. They create workplaces where differences aren’t just accepted—they’re valued and used to help everyone succeed together.

Turn Your Brand Into a Customer Magnet

Today’s customers don’t just look at products or services—they want brands with shared value in social and environmental aspects. When companies truly care about inclusion, they build stronger connections with their customers. It’s not just about what you sell, but about who you really are.

Being Part of the Change

True leadership means having the courage to be different. When your company partners with us, you’re not just giving a work opportunity—you’re joining a movement of people who believe everyone deserves the chance to contribute in their own way.
